Saturday Sounds Are Back – Here’s the May Music Lineup!

We’re counting down the days to opening day on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025 and there’s no better way to welcome in a new market season than with live local music in the sunshine (or at least under our trusty tents if it rains—this is the West Coast after all!).

This May, we’ve lined up an awesome mix of returning favourites and fresh new talent to set the tone while you sip your coffee, browse local goodies, and maybe even dance a little between the food trucks and vendor stalls.

Every Saturday from 9:30am–2:30pm, the James Bay Market features three incredible local acts to keep your toes tapping while you shop, snack, and soak in the community vibes. Whether you’re here for the produce, the pastries, the handmade crafts—or just a sunny spot to sip your coffee and people-watch—our music stage has your Saturday soundtrack covered.

Saturday, May 3rd – Opening Day

9:30-11:00am: Nice Verdes – World-roaming musical magic with roots, Latin, and folk vibes.

11:15-12:45pm: Na Mara – Beautiful harmonies and high-speed Celtic flair that’ll have you toe-tapping in no time!

1:00-2:30pm: Tyler James Johnson – A heartfelt blend of acoustic soul and thoughtful lyrics.

Saturday, May 10th

9:30-11:00am: Guitar Bill – Bluesy grooves and fingerstyle finesse from a market staple.

11:15-12:45pm: Andison Hills – Indie-folk melodies with a fresh local perspective.

1:00-2:30pm: Dale Fudge – Classic tunes with a warm, easygoing delivery.

Saturday, May 17th

9:30-11:00am: Carla Olive – Passionate singer-songwriter combining easy-listening with a progressive sound.

11:15-12:45pm: Malakai – Smooth vocals, old-soul charm, and bringing plenty of timeless energy to every performance.

1:00-2:30pm: To Be Announced: change happens – we’ll let you know once we’ve confirmed the performer(s)!

Saturday, May 24th

9:30-11:00am: Chick Wagon Duo – Country-folk fun and high-energy harmonies.

11:15-12:45pm: Mitchell Green – Mellow, jazzy, melodic guitar tunes to brighten your day.

1:00-2:30pm: Rob Fillo – A fan-favourite known for his heartfelt song-writing and soul-stirring performances that keep you coming back for more.

Saturday, May 31st

9:30-11:00am: Brad Prevedoros – Classical-meets-contemporary guitar with global flair.

11:15-12:45pm: Mary Lee Crocker (& Friends) – Sweet and soulful songs from the heart.

1:00-2:30pm: My Back Pages – Timeless folk-rock covers with a nostalgic twist will have you singing along!
