As the current Manager for the James Bay Market, I am more than excited to be given the opportunity to offer the best live music, performance art and entertainment that has yet to come out of a Community/Farmers Market in the city of Victoria, BC.
My motivation comes from being a lifetime music lover with a passion for local and sustainable organizations that support the people who add value to our lives to thrive, allowing them to continue to practice and perform their art and to preserve West Coast Culture in all it’s dynamic forms. Over the past several years I’ve been blessed with some incredible friends who are very musically inclined and am forever inspired by the commitment, practice, focus, dedication and hard work it takes for them to meet even their basic needs at times. And it goes without saying that the same applies for our local food producers and artisans.
As I get acquainted with all of the vendors that show up on a weekly basis to display the food, produce, products and art that each one of them have poured their time, passion and energy into hand crafting, planting, sewing and harvesting, I am deeply humbled and inspired to support them in their endeavors with everything that I am.
The James Bay Market is a perfect example of an enduring and cooperating community of people who wish to promote diverse and conscientious local production while offering a weekly meeting place for friends, family and visitors to enjoy free live music and entertainment from skilled local artists. Let’s all show up and show are support for what sustains us..
