A community tradition since the mid-70’s, The Dickens Christmas Fair is one of the oldest craft fairs in Victoria and enjoys a loyal following among vendors and buyers alike. With a reputation for quality crafts and reasonable prices the Dickens Fair hums with that James Bay community feeling.
Expect to find an enchanting array of hand crafted items, the work of over fifty juried artisans all presenting their finest seasonal offerings.
Creative folk are constantly changing and improving their wares and there are new vendors every year, so expect to be surprised. You may find traditional or avante garde knitting, folk art decorations, heavenly soaps and lotions, unique pottery pieces. Look for contemporary textile art, stirling silver jewellery, handbags and hand crafted wooden bowls. Pick up unique gifts for the gardener, hand made paper books or teddy bears for the kids.
There will be mouth watering baked goods, local honey, and traditional and non-traditional Christmas cake to take home. Outside the main entrance you'll find seasonal produce and inside enjoy a hot drinks and tasty bite.
