28th Annual Victorian Christmas Show
Saturday, December
6th 10am-4pm
James Bay Community School Centre at 140 Oswego St.
Cost: $TBA at door
A community tradition
since the mid-70’s, Dickens is one of the longest established craft
fairs in Victoria. The Dickens Fair, presented by the James
Bay Market Society, enjoys a loyal following among vendors and buyers
alike, with a reputation for quality crafts, reasonable prices,
and that intangible community feeling which is the hallmark of James
Bay.
Expect to find an enchanting
array of hand crafted items, the work of over fifty juried artisans
all presenting their finest seasonal offerings: from traditional
and avante garde knitting to folk art decorations; from unique pottery
pieces to heavenly soaps and lotions; from contemporary textile
art, to stirling silver jewellery, handbags and hand crafted wooden
bowls. Pick up unique gifts for the gardener, hand made paper books
or teddy bears for the kids. There will be mouth watering
baked goods, tortierre, local honey, and traditional and non-traditional
Christmas cake to take home. Outside the main entrance you'll find
seasonal produce as well as crepes and sausages to enjoy.
For Children:
games and crafts.
