The Market Mission Volunteering at the Market Vending at the Market Market History
Interested in selling at the market?   Playing to the public? The Market currently has space for 65 vendors a week, and hopes to increase its area.  About 110 vendors sell at the market over the course of the season.

2008 Jury Dates: March 29 and April 12 at the James Bay New Horizons, 234 Menzies Street,from 10am to 12pm,

Vendors currently fall into the following general categories:

Producers
Farmers who grow their food and sell it fall into this category.  

Prepared Food
Freshly cooked foods, desserts, and coffees are in this category.  

Artisans and Crafters
Pottery, woodwork, textiles, and art of all kinds.  Vendors of this type must apply and be juried before vending at the Market.   

Services
Masseurs and Tarot Readers are common examples of people who provide a service at the market.

Performers
Musicians, Morris Dancers, and other entertainers.  Technically, musicians aren't vendors - the Market pays people to perform, and allows them to collect tips.  If you are interested in performing at the Market, please email music@jamesbaymarket.com
